If the builder detects unused space, you can often fill it with an existing design already on your sheet, or upload a new design to fit. If autofill stays within the same sheet length, the price does not increase.

Pay for the artwork, not the empty margins
If your file has extra blank space around the artwork, trimming removes that empty space so the size you enter is the size you actually receive. This prevents "my prints came out smaller than expected" surprises caused by hidden padding.
If you prefer sizing based on the full canvas (including empty space), you can toggle trimming off.
Know the quality risk before you order
While you size your design, the builder shows DPI and warns if it drops below recommended levels (300 DPI is a common benchmark). Warnings do not block checkout — they are a quality heads-up so you can choose to proceed confidently.
Approve a downloadable proof before production
Before you can add to cart, you will review a locked proof of your final layout. Download the proof as a PNG or PDF, switch background colors to reveal halos or stray pixels, and click any item to highlight its placement on the sheet.
To protect you from mistakes, you must approve the proof before “Approve and Add to Cart” is enabled.

If you are willing to trade cutting convenience for tighter packing, advanced optimization can sometimes reduce total length, which can lower cost.
If you want the easiest cutting layout, stick with standard auto nest and a comfortable gap.
Why the builder shows roll segments on very long sheets
Your gang sheet can be any length. For production, handling, and shipping, very long sheets are produced in roll segments (often around 120 inches, sometimes slightly adjusted) so they can be cut cleanly and packaged safely.
